Good vid. Some promising updates coming up :)

I think all the tbaggers out their are looking forward to the kill cam being extended  ;D

Infact one of the topics trending at the moment on the battlefield forums is tbagging :) https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/176210/diminished-tea-bagging/p2

I think in BFV only 'remote' teabagging will see increased popularity with a killcam fix. Usually victims are too distant to be able to run up there in time for their bleed out time to expire.

Going to be working till late but I have downloaded the new patch - anyone got any feedback on the new patch?

Edit: Had a quick go. Seems decent so far. Not much recoil on my existing weapons. Kill cam seems slightly better but not quite what I expected.

The damage indicator for direction is still way off..

Haven't really noticed that tbh.  After having playing a full round again tonight- not really convinced it feels any better than it was previously. Maybe after playing a few rounds tonight might get a better idea.

Still think the new kill cam is a bit strange and doesn't give much info as I was expecting.

I find the new kill cam a bit of an improvement. At least I can now see where that bloody camper is ;).
On the other hand, I sometimes wondered how I could have possibly been shot by the guy indicated by the kill cam.
Maybe the killcam now reveals other problems, for instance with netcode or something.
Also, when guys are on the move the kill cam is not really useful.

Last night I did not have any good rounds. But that could well be me being to tired to play the game.
I'll give it anther shot tonight and hopefully squad up with you guys.

We had a chat about this on the TS this evening. I had no idea what you guys were talking about. I've watched that video now and it sure looks like my old Amiga has been rendering this footage.

Like I mentioned on TS I tweaked my graphics to the lowest possible to get a better frame-rate and to get rid of the anti aliasing. I described that in another thread here or in the tech section. The tweaks I applied make the BFV look similar to BF1 by switching off anti aliasing. This cannot be switched off in the in game menu. Switching this off makes the game a bit more grainy which I prefer as I can see (moving) enemies better that way.
After seeing this video I can understand some may put that in the same category as the tweaking shown in the video. However, what is shown in the video is a league on its own. The tweaks I've done are nowhere near this. All objects are still drawn, just more grainy. I don't see how a game looking like what's shown in the video can give any suspense whatsoever.

Anyway, when tweaks outside menu options are considered bending the rules I will gladly remove them. I think I've gotten used to BFV by now to go without them.

Hmm...still nothing about rented servers..

BFV is going to die, so many people getting f@@ked of with it.

I played a bit a moment ago. I must say the last patch seems to have improved some things. Most importantly visibility of other players. I was actually able to see enemies even at a distance.
Played a couple of games of frontlines and even Hamada worked out.

That being said I still leave the game as it is in its current state and will focus on BF1 more. BFV just has too few maps and some maps I really built an allergic reaction to (Hamada and Panzerstorm). So they may RSP and update all they want but I'll return once there is some actual content. I want maps not modes!

Yep. The game is screaming out for new maps. Infact its been needing new maps since the game has been brought out. There is about 4 maps that are good on BFV (rotterdam, twisted steel, devastation, arras) but playing the same maps over and over again gets tedious as hell.

Truth be told - I've not been enjoying the game for a while and honestly I enjoy playing BF1 more. Its just much more enjoyable and fun to play. I really want BFV to succeed though. I think once BFV rental servers comes out and there is a healthy selection of maps available I think then thats when the game will come alive. AMG will of course purchase servers should they bring out a premium service for rental servers. E.G. bookmark server and have it in your favorite list. But they (ea/dice) need to implement all these things sooner rather than later.

If new maps would come shortly, it can be good game. But it needs at least 1 new map per month, or few maps in upcoming patches.
In bf1 there was plenty of maps, half year after the game started... bf5 not a single map per 6 months cca.. sad.
Now only 1 map is announced.. pff. As i can see everyone has differenct favorite maps, for example i hate Roterdam, and i enjoy Hamada a lot.
I dont like the new map rotation, i liked the older one also.
But still im giving bf5 a chance, we will see how will the game evolve, but as everyone said, new maps should be top priority for DICE/EA.
