Yeah definitely gonna wait for game benchmarks first - if there's no significant improvement over a 1080 or 1080 Ti then there's no real need to buy one. Yet....

Also some of the details.of the cards are a bit misleading. Makes the 2080ti not.much of a upgrade from the titan XP but I think it's going go be VERY good. Watch this space for the gpx scores for when they test them out on the AAA titles.

TLDR version

+40% performance on 1080ti. without ray tracing. Will get even higher when games are built to take in new DLSS tech. But there are none currently with either.
+100% on price

Exactly. There just not worth it for the same performance. I hope AMD are rubbing there hands together and have got something up their sleeves for the future for the same performance as the 2080ti but alot cheaper
